As 2022 is coming to an end and the winter exam session is among us once again, it is with pride and pleasure that we encourage you to take a well-deserved break from studying and delve into the 101st Edition of our newspaper.
2022 was a unique year. It was supposed to be the year in which the pandemic would finally start having a more marginal role in the narratives that we are exposed to on an everyday basis, and to a large extent, it was. Our university returned to full in-presence activity, several countries including Italy held general elections, and public debate at a national and international level finally started shifting towards other aspects of society.
What we maybe had not anticipated is how unpredictable the return to normality could be, how quickly equilibria we had been used to for decades could change, deeply affecting the outlook we have on our surroundings.
It is with that spirit that we present this new issue to you: we want you to delve into the topics that are shaping our lives with our team’s unique outlook. As usual, we have stories for all kinds of readers. From the role of Germany in the current geopolitical arena to the change in Ukraine’s schooling system since the outbreak of the war, from the new EU policy on digitalization to human rights violations in the preparation to the World Cup that is currently being held in Qatar.
We really hope you enjoy it, and we are always happy to receive your comments, suggestions and ideas at email@example.com. Don’t hesitate to get in touch!
